STEWART GV13

Chevrolet Vega based automobile with custom body, blue-printed engine and much more.

I designed and built a fiberglass custom car on a Chevrolet Vega frame including the forming of molds for production of kits. GV13 has a fiberglass custom front and rear sport wagon design with Plexiglas access gull wing doors. There are fiberglass molded front bumper, interior panels and targa bar. The engine is a 1971 blue-printed Vega short block - increased in power to 190 HP. This was achieved by the use of steel sleeves, high compression pistons, intermediate speed cam, Mallory full centrifugal advance distributor, Bosh high output coil, dual DCOE 45 Weber carburetors, tuned Monza exhaust and a high capacity oil pump and radiator. All instrumentation is Stewart Warners. The handling characteristics have been altered to racing specifications.
