Classical Ballet Foundation, (1972-76) Los Angeles, CA. Principal dancer and business manager. 501(c)3 Company of 16. Secured funding, coordinated tours, handled payroll, contracts, scheduling. Click on name to view dance photos.

Charles Stewart Dance Institute, Redding, CA (1987-90). Owner-Manager school of dance and dance wear retail store. Formed and directed 501(c)3 non-profit regional dance company. Published quarterly dance publication. Wrote entire bookkeeping computer programs for the business utilizing Microsoft Excel.

Besides my own dance studio and being the director of two 501(c)3 ballet companies, my experience includes:
Performance Experience:
California Dance Company Principal dancer and choreographer of ballet and
modern dance.
Michele Gains Dancer Principal dancer and choreographer of ballet and jazz.
CBS Special Principal dancer and choreographer of "Nutcracker"
pas de duex with solos and coda.
Much of my performing experience has in been partnership with Sandra Cassarino.
We would guest appear with various companies and shows (Classical Ballet
Foundation, Wenta Ballet, Ballet Arlu, Tremain Dancers, Burbank Civic Light
Opera, Zerby Dancers, San Jose Ballet, Cadem Ballet, Oakdale Ballet) dancing
the main pas de duex from the classical ballet repertoire. I have also performed:
Principal Dancer and Corps Singer "Brigadoon," "High Button
Shoes," "South Pacific," "Girl Crazy," and "Showboat"
during summer stock with the Burbank Civic Light Opera and Long Beach Light
Opera.
Principal Soloist and Partner "Don Quixote," "Nutcracker"
- prince part; "Sleeping Beauty" - prince part and Blue Bird variations:
"Sparticus" - Sparticus part; "Le Patenieurs" - The
Main Couple and the Boy in Blue; "A Midsummer's Night Dream" -
Oberon and King parts; "Flower Festival;" "Mozart Concertus;"
"ooh ah"; "Aspen Dawn"; "Lark Ascending";
and numerous short popular song numbers.
The Chopin "Polonaise #6," and Rachmanioff Piano Concerto #2 were
specifically choreographed for me by the Classical Ballet foundation and
the Wenta Ballet Company.
Choreography Experience:
The major pieces that I have been responsible for: "Sparticus"
(Katchiturian)- contemporary ballet, "Nutcracker" (Tchaikovsky)-
classical ballet, "Don Quixote" (Minkus)- classical ballet, "Aspen
Dawn" (Dan Fogelberg)- contemporary ballet, "ooh ah" (Michael
Jackson)- jazz/disco. I have also assisted as choreographer and pas de dues
coach for the ballets; "Epikos," "Lark Ascending," "Flower
Festival," and "Le Patenieurs" and the musical "Girl
Crazy."
Teaching Experiences
I have taught advance ballet, toe and pas de dues classes for California
Dance Company, Class with Michele, Los Angeles Dance Center, Stanley Holden
Dance Center, Joffrey (New York), and master classes with the main companies
I have danced. I have also developed a 20-week teaching "Course Curriculum"
for the teaching of ballet to adults for the Los Angeles Adult Schools.
This curriculum is now the accepted standard for the school system.
